Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is set to join Aston Villa on loan, with a potential permanent transfer included in the deal, according to renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano confirmed the agreement on Sunday via X, revealing that Villa will cover over 70% of Rashford’s salary as part of the deal. The contract also includes a £40 million buy option, paving the way for a long-term move.
“Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa, here we go,” Romano wrote. “Agreement in place on a loan deal with over 70% of his salary covered by Villa. A buy option clause worth £40m is also included in the contract, with a potential three-and-a-half-year deal to follow. Medical booked today.”
The England international is expected to undergo his medical today before finalizing the switch.
