"Ojulari Promises Growth, Continuity as He Becomes New NNPC Boss"

In a symbolic handover ceremony held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Friday, Mr. Bayo Ojulari officially assumed duties as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), succeeding Mr. Mele Kyari.

Speaking at the brief event, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi O. Soneye, described the transition as a significant moment for the company, marking a new chapter under Ojulari’s leadership.

In his remarks, Mr. Ojulari expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve the nation in his new capacity. He commended Mr. Kyari for his stellar leadership and the remarkable progress made during his tenure. “Your contributions to the growth of NNPC Ltd have laid a solid foundation. I will be counting on your counsel as we move forward,” Ojulari said.

He emphasized that although the targets ahead were ambitious, he was confident that, with the support of the management and staff, NNPC Ltd would continue on a trajectory of growth and excellence. “I pledge to build on the successes of my predecessor and take this company to greater heights,” he added.

In a show of solidarity, Mr. Kyari congratulated Ojulari on his appointment and thanked the staff and management for their unwavering support during his time in office. “I’ll always be a call away. I believe you have what it takes to succeed,” Kyari stated.

The event concluded with the formal exchange of handover notes and a warm handshake between the two leaders, symbolizing continuity and commitment to NNPC Ltd’s vision.
