Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has commended Nigerian scholar Mr. Gbubemi Kevin Akpornor for his outstanding academic achievement abroad, describing it as a beacon of national pride and a symbol of Nigerian excellence on the global stage.
In a statement issued by the Commission’s spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa praised Akpornor’s brilliance and resilience, which she said reflects the potential and tenacity of Nigerians making waves in various sectors across the world.
A graduate of Delta State University, Akpornor recently earned a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. His academic journey culminated in a rare double honour, as he received two prestigious awards for his thesis, which was recognised for its innovation and relevance to today’s global energy challenges.
