Christians have been urged to use the period of lent to pray for peace and Unity in the country and the world.
The Diocesan Administrator of Ilorin Catholic Diocese, the Very Reverend father, Anselm Pendo Lawani made the call in a message to Christians faithful in Ilorin, Kwara State.
He advised them to take the three Pilars of lent which includes prayer, fasting and Alms-giving seriously.
According to him lent remained a time to meditate deeply on the life of Jesus Christ.
The Very Reverend father, Pendo- Lawani admonished Christians to use the period to rid themselves of bad habit and other short comings ahead of Easter
