The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence,  Muhammad Sa ad Abubakar has directed Muslims in the country to start looking for the cresent of Sha aban tommorow the third of March 2022, equivalent to Islamic calendar 29th of Rajab 1443 after Hijira. 
In a statement, by the chairman Advisory Committee Sultanate council Sokoto state, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu, the Sultan explains that if sighted, the information should be forwarded to the nearest village or district head for onward communication to the Sultan.
