Bandits Launched another attack a few days after soldiers and local security groups have been killed at Zuru axis in Kebbi state.
Bandits on Tuesday again attacked a tomatoes processing company at Gafara village in Ngaski local government area of the state where seven Policemen and three civilians were allegedly killed.
A resident of the locality told our correspondent that, bandits in hundreds have attacked the company at around 10am but only the workers were evacuated.
According him, the bandits on there way to the company killed three civilians and on reaching the company exchanged gunfire with the policemen on their duty post.
“The bandits have brought a letter to inform the company ahead of their coming to Kidnap the foreign workers, investors and expatriates”.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relation Officer, of Nigeria Police Force in Kebbi state, Deputy Supritedent of Police, Nafiu Abubakar, said that four Policemen and one civilian were killed.
According to him, the Armed bandits amounting to five hundred on motorcycles attack the tomatoes company at Gafara village and engaged in a gun battle with the security attached to the company.
He said, there were casualties on both side which he cannot ascertain the number of the bandits.
The Police Image Maker, DSP Abubakar, claimed the command had strung into action by deploying more policemen to the area.
