The Federal Government says it is investing in developing indigenous Innovation Driven Enterprises in line with its objectives of Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship plan.
This is to be done through capacity building for young innovators and businesses in modernization of legacy solutions and driving exponential revenue growth.
The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, Kahifu Abdullahi Stated this in a message to the opening ceremony of the workshop on Building Lean and Agile Products with DevOps, organized by the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation, ONDI.
Mallam Abdullahi said the increase in demand for software and online web-based applications among businesses as necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic has had a positive impact on the growth of digital ICT markets and led to the growing need of solutions among businesses.
He said this will streamline the process of software application development by promoting collaboration between various entities of software development lifecycle.
Mallam Abdullahi said the global market size of Digital services is projected to reach US$57.9 billion by 2030, therefore, the training was apt and timely in ensuring that indigenous startups benefit from the market growth.
