The Federal Government has given assurances that the lingering security situation in all hotpots will soon be dealt with.
The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and that of Defence, retired Major General Bashir Magashi, gave the assurance in Abuja, while fielding questions from newsmen on efforts at containing the situation.
They noted that bandits and elements of Boko Haram escaping military onslaught in the northeast had formed an alliance to unleash terror in the land, but said the government would soon inform Nigerians on the successes achieved in the fight against them.
They appealed to families of victims of the recent train attack on Abuja-Kaduna corridor to be patient as the government was doing everything possible to rescue them.
