The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU says the it do not agree with the Federal Government on it’s position of the Union suspending the strike before negotiations.
This is contained in a message posted on the verified Twitter handle of the Union.
The Union urged the Federal Government to direct the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to negotiate with it as the Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige and the Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba were not able to strike a deal with the Union.
According too Twit by ASUU, the Minister of State for Education had asked ASUU to trust the Federal Government by suspending it’s industrial action before negotiations.
