Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Benjamin Chidoka,
expressed distraught on the desecration of Igboland, over the killing of a Military couple in Imo State.
According to him, the gruesome and unpardonable murder came as a result of killing the couple, whose crime is that they have a job to keep body and soul together, adding that the Igbo culture do not permit the killing.
He lamented that many Igbo societies, has suffered the kidnap and selling of their people during the slave era and as such, the foundation of the community has been shaken by misplaced anger.
“As a civilised culture, we are tolerant people capable of welcoming visitors and living with diverse opinions, hence the slow adoption of monarchy”, He said.
Mr Chidoka therefore, urges All Town Unions, Traditional Rulers, Church leaders, Women Societies and right-thinking Igbo people, to speak up; emphasizing the wrong doing of killing people for who they are.
