The President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Ifedayo Akindoju has expressed the hope of better outings for Nigeria on the game as the Country marks it’s 62nd Independent anniversary.
Mr. Akindoju, also the President of the Abuja Country Club, called for a peaceful and credible election come 2023.
He gave the indications during an event to commemorate the country’s independence organized by the Abuja Country Club in Abuja.
Mr. Akindoju said there was no need for killings or violence during the general election.
On table tennis, Mr. Akindoju said the nation performed well at some point but slowed down subsequently.
The Social Secretary of the Club, Professor Dickson Akoh urged politicians to give youths their manifestos instead of guns.
Professor Akoh stressed the need for sustained unity of Nigeria despite various differences.
