Corps Members have been advised to be patriotic and committed during their national service as well as make positive impact on their places of primary assignments.
NYSC management was also advised to look into the increasing cost of living in orientation camps and the relationship between corps members and military instructors on camps.
A Corps Member, Dauda Luka serving in FRCN Headquarters, gave the advice during the launch of his book: “NYSC SCHEME, THE DESTINY HELPER”, in Abuja.
The Book is about the love story of two corps members, a rich lady, who disguised herself and a hardworking poor corps member.
According to the book, the poor corps member was not just hardworking but patriotic and committed during his national service.
The author, Mr. Dauda Luka explained that the aim of writing the book was to motivate serving and prospective corps members to give their best especially in their places of primary assignments.
The book reviewer, Mr. Yusuf Adawa described the book as a masterpiece which portrayed friendship and unity as promoted by the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
The Director, Marketing in FRCN, and father of the day, Mr. Mike Tokula said Dauda Luka was committed and dedicated to his duties, describing him as a goal getter.
Other speakers at the event urged stressed the need for sustained encouragement to young people in their chosen skills to enable them to contribute to nation building.
