As preparation gears up towards the forth coming general elections, the Benue South Progressives Forum, (G9) has put modalities in place to commence mass mobilization of eligible voters across the nine (9) Local Government Areas of Benue South in support of the presidential ambition of Tinubu/Shetima of the All Progressives Congress APC.
To ensure effective and inclusive mobilization of eligible Voters, the group has named and inaugurated it’s Exco across the nine (9) Local Government Areas of Benue South.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Exco in Abuja, the chairman of G9, Chief Johnson Agada charged them to endeavor to put in their best in mobilizing Voters in all the nine Local Government Areas of Idoma land. He emphasized the need for Exco to put in their best to ensure good turn out of Voters during the forth coming Presidential and National Assembly Elections in the Area.
According to the Chairman, mass participation in the coming election should be the utmost concern of all the newly inaugurated Exco.
The group stated that the political interest of Idoma people is paramount to its pursuit and so advised Benue South people to cultivate the spirit of mass participation during every election as only through that will the zone redeem itself from the political dominance of the other two zones in Benue State. Largely, it has been identified that political apathy in Zone C in the past is a direct consequences of lack of effective mobilization of voters, the group said.
As part of genuine efforts to galvanize support of Idoma people for the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, His Excellency, Asiwaju Tinubu and his vice Kashim Shetima, G9 has planned a mass rally to be held very soon in Benue South before the Presidential Election.
Benue South Progressives Forum (G9) is a vehicle to promote equity and fairness and encourage internal democracy within the APC. It also seeks to defend the Zone C interest and uplift the dignity of ordinary citizens from the zone. G9 also labour in honour to have a place at the table and the right to determine their common destiny and that of their unborn children. It is note worthy that every civilized society congregate under a name and the Idoma Nation of Benue South is no exception.
Highlight of the meeting was the admittance of a new member, Hon. Enayi Onaji into the group.
