A political group, Igala Conscience says, the choice of the Social Democratic Party’s candidate, Mr. Muritala Ajaka by the Igala Elders Forum indicates his acceptability and popularity with the electorate.

The Secretary of the Group, Comrade Okpanachi Jacob stated this while addressing newsmen in Abuja.

Comrade Jacob urged all candidates of other political parties of Kogi East origin to collapse their political and campaign structures and channel their support bases behind the candidature of Alhaji Muritala Ajaka to have a formidable frontier.

In an interview, the SDP candidate, Alhaji Muritala Ajaka described his movement as organic and expressed the belief of victory.

Alhaji Ajaka said the people of Kogi were tired of alleged lack of infrastructure including bad roads, standard hospitals and lack of sincerity.

Alhaji Ajaka gave an assurance that if voted into power, would deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State.

According to Comrade Peter the Elders chose Muritala Ajaka In recognition of his philanthropic spirit, political sagacity, vision for the state and refined personality.

He added that the Igala Elders commended the efforts and maturity of other candidates and urge them to abide by this resolution as same was reached in the overall interest of Igala land.
