Tinubu Highlights Economic Progress, Calls for Prayer, Unity this Ramadan

President Bola Tinubu has called on Muslims across Nigeria to embody the virtues of piety, humility, and selflessness during the Holy Month of Ramadan. In a personally signed statement, he encouraged the faithful to use this sacred period to strengthen their relationship with Allah and foster unity within their communities.

The President highlighted the significance of this year’s Ramadan, coinciding with what he described as a period of “renewed hope and progress” for the nation. He noted that his administration’s economic policies were beginning to yield results, citing a stabilizing exchange rate, declining fuel prices, and a drop in essential food costs as signs of improvement.

“Our economy is showing positive signs of recovery,” Tinubu stated. “The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the last quarter of 2024 recorded an improvement compared to the same period in 2023. As we approach the wet season, we remain committed to enhancing food security through mechanization, targeted input support, and innovative farming initiatives.”

The President urged Nigerians to come together in prayer and collective action for national development. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness another Ramadan and emphasized its importance as a time for deep reflection, renewed faith, and acts of compassion.

“Let us use this sacred month to seek Allah’s guidance and work towards peace, unity, and progress,” he said. “May this period bring spiritual fulfillment, good health, and divine blessings to all.”

President Tinubu extended his heartfelt Ramadan greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide, praying that the blessings of the Holy Month bring strength, prosperity, and greater national cohesion.
