The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has forecasted high-intensity rainfall between May and June 2025, warning of potential flash floods in coastal cities. This was disclosed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during the annual climate prediction presentation in Abuja. According to the forecast, the onset of rainfall will be delayed in northern and central states, including Plateau, Kaduna, Niger, Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba, Adamawa, and Kwara.
