Popular Nigerian skitmaker and singer, Carter Efe, has sparked controversy following candid remarks about church and spirituality during his appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast.
In a now-viral clip, Carter Efe explained why he no longer attends church, alleging that fellow content creator Sydney Talker influenced his decision to stop going.
According to him, he used to be committed to church activities but began to question certain conversations he had with Sydney Talker.
He claimed that Sydney once advised him to slow down on streaming and allegedly suggested he give someone identified as Kolu ₦1 million to distance himself permanently, warning that singer Portable might spiritually attack him.
Carter Efe said he found the advice troubling and contradictory, especially coming from someone who frequently attends church. He added that the comments angered and irritated him, ultimately contributing to his decision to stop attending services.
The remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with social media users debating his claims and the broader conversation around faith, spirituality, and celebrity influence.
