The remains of celebrated Nigerian actor and film producer, Kayode Peters, have been laid to rest in Canada following an emotional funeral service attended by family, close friends, and members of the Nigerian-Canadian community.
The solemn ceremony took place at McKersie & Early House Funeral Home in Milton, Ontario. After the service, his body was interred at the Milton Evergreen Cemetery, marking the final farewell to the talented entertainer, who passed away on June 28 after a brief illness. He was 49 years old.
Kayode Peters was widely known for his comic role as Koko in the hit TV sitcom Flatmates, earning him admiration across Nigeria and beyond. His contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry spanned over two decades, during which he wore many hats—as an actor, director, and producer.
He is survived by his wife and children, who have requested privacy during this time of mourning.
