The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), in collaboration with the Government of Guinea-Bissau, has launched Phase II of its Regional Programme for the Provision of Assistive Devices to Children with Disabilities. The initiative, driven by ECOWAS’ Directorate of Humanitarian and Social Affairs, aligns with the 4×4 Strategic Objectives and ECOWAS Vision 2050, marking a bold step towards an inclusive and people-centered West Africa.

The launch was highlighted by a high-level meeting between ECOWAS officials and Guinea-Bissau’s Minister of Women, Family and Social Solidarity, H.E. Maria Inácia Có Mendes Sanhá.
