Nigeria Hails Qatar on Independence Day, Pledges Stronger Bilateral Cooperation

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has extended heartfelt congratulations to the State of Qatar on the occasion of its Independence Anniversary.

In a goodwill message, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed warm felicitations to Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, praising the resilience, unity, and progress of the Qatari people.

Ambassador Tuggar emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding partnership with Qatar, highlighting cooperation in trade, transportation, education, energy, and security. He also noted the two nations’ collaboration within the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other global platforms aimed at promoting peace, development, and security.

Nigeria reaffirmed its readiness to deepen bilateral ties and explore new areas of partnership for mutual benefit, while wishing Qatar continued peace, prosperity, and national advancement.
