Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has debunked reports claiming he is estranged from his children with his first wife, May Edochie, insisting that he maintains a healthy and ongoing relationship with them.

The actor made the clarification during a recent appearance on the KaaTruths Podcast, where he spoke openly about his family life, marriage, political ambitions, and career.

Addressing public speculation, Yul explained that he remains in regular contact with his three children and recently spoke with his son, who informed him of his university admission and matriculation ceremony. He said he was unable to attend the event only because the information reached him late.

Yul also explained why he no longer shares photos or updates of his children from his marriage to May on social media.

According to him, a court order tied to their ongoing divorce proceedings restricts both parents from posting their children online.

“The reason I don’t post my kids with May is not because we are not close,” Yul said. “There is a court order instructing us to stop posting our children. I am still very much in contact with them, and I support my son financially through their mother.”

Speaking further on his relationship with his estranged wife, the actor declined to delve into personal details, stating that family issues should not be addressed publicly.

“The main issue is not on social media. I would rather not say anything. I don’t want to say my ex-wife did this or did that. Real men don’t handle issues that way. It’s family matter—nobody is perfect,” he added.
