Deploy Technology On Terrorism Fight – Tinubu

National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu says Nigerians must to collaborate and share idea in the fight against banditry and terrorism for the progress of the country.

He stated this when visited governor Nasiru Elrufai at government house Kaduna.

Alhaji Bola Tinubu said he was in Kaduna with his entourage to sympathize with government and the people of the state over the recent attack of Abuja – Kaduna train, saying that, what ever happened to one person it happened to all Nigerians.

He called for the deployment of technology in the fight against terrorism, described banditry and terrorism as a major setback to the economy of the country.

He said he is in support of governor Nasiru Elrufai call for government to do everything possible to stem insecurity.

Alhaji Tinubu also donated fifty million naira to assist in rehabilitating and catering for the wellbeing of the victims,
urged Nigerians to contribute to the welfare of the victims either in hospital recovering or in their homes.

According to him, Nigerians need to fight terrorism with all their energy

“Whatever happens to single Nigerians happens to all of us. I understand that some people are still missing. Innocent people maimed, killed, family suddenly thrown into sorrow it’s frustrating. But we must submit to the will of God.

“I’m here with my entourage to support and pledge that whatever we need to do, we will do to make reasonable contribution to the welfare of the
victims.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu encouraged the state Government to stand strong in defeating the bandits, saying that, the security agencies must at the moment intensify effort to quickly rescue those still in captivity.

Responding, Governor Nasiru El-Rufai in expressed appreciation to National Leader of APC Bola Tinubu for cancelling his 70th anniversary colloquium as a mark of honour for the victims of the train attack.

Governor Elrufai explained that, the visit preempted his planned visit to Asiwaju to thank him for solidarity with people of Kaduna for cancelling his colloquium the day it was to take place.

“This gesture by Asiwaju is a show of powerful leadership, empathy and concern for the lives and property of Nigerians. It’s unprecedented in our history in Nigeria. The government and people of Kaduna state will never forget this gesture. We are very grateful to you for service, sacrifice and commitment to the unity and that of our country. We appreciate your call for people to contribute to enabke us rehabilitate the victims of this tragedy.

He pointed out that, the state government was are aware Tinubu aspiration to be president of the country, stressing that, they look forward to further engagement to progress his aspiration.

According to governor Elrufai, Nigeria is at crossroad, critical crossroad, and they must take very difficult decisions to get the right leaders that would take the country out of the multiple quagmires that its going through in 2023.

The leader of the APC who earlier concealed his birthday colloquium in respect of the victims that loss their lives was accompanied to the government house Kaduna by former speaker of the House of representatives Yakubu Dogara, the former Governor of Borno state Kashim Shettima and many other dignitaries.

A minute silence was observed in respect of those who loss their lives during the incident.

The APC National Leader also visited St. Gerard Catholic Hospital, Kaduna to commiserate with the victims of the attack who were hospitalised including the staff of the hospital, a doctor, who was killed by the bandits.

He also visited the resident of a renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi in Kaduna.
