Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has shared her candid views on marriage, stating that she is open to remarrying if a relationship does not work out.

The actress made the remarks during an interview on the Real Live with Aunty Ayo podcast hosted by Ayo Adesanya.

Speaking on the programme, Bakare said she does not believe in remaining in an unfulfilling marriage, even if it means going against certain religious expectations.

“My religion doesn’t allow women to marry multiple times, but if I am not getting it right, then I am not getting it right. There is nothing I can do,” she said.

She added that she would not continue trying to make a marriage work if it is clearly unsuccessful.

Addressing concerns about loneliness, the actress dismissed the idea, stressing that she is content with her life.

“Lonely? I can never feel lonely. I don’t feel lonely,” she said.

Bakare, known for her outspoken nature both on and off screen, emphasised that marriage is not the ultimate measure of happiness, noting that personal fulfillment should take priority.
