Nigerian singer and music producer Samklef has publicly called out fellow artiste Teni Makanaki over a controversial video she shared online.
The video, in which Teni urged fans to “rescue” legendary musician 2Face Idibia (2Baba) amid reports of marital issues, included a remark suggesting that 2Baba was in “his husband’s house”, a phrase that immediately stirred reactions.
Samklef described Teni’s comments as disrespectful to 2Baba, whom he referred to as a revered figure in the Nigerian music industry.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, he issued a harsh warning and criticized Teni for what he deemed an inappropriate public remark.
In several posts, Samklef used strong and confrontational language, questioning Teni’s maturity and demanding that she delete the video.
He also speculated about her motives, insinuating that she might be acting under negative influence, specifically mentioning Davido.
Some of Samklef’s posts read: “You are very stupid. 2Face na your mate? Are you crazy! Delete this video sharp! Wetin dey worry you? Davido dey influence you abi?”
The exchange has since sparked conversations across social media about respect, industry hierarchy, and the boundaries of online commentary among Nigerian celebrities.
