Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has opened up about another experience in her spiritual journey, recounting how she prayed for a schoolgirl she believed was under a “spirit of death” during a recent evangelism outreach.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Friday, the actress narrated that the incident occurred shortly after she and her team completed an evangelism programme at a school.
According to Dikeh, she suddenly sensed what she described as a troubling spiritual presence in the area as they were leaving the venue, prompting her team to begin praying.
The actress, who recently said she prefers to be addressed as an evangelist rather than her former nickname “King Tonto,” said the moment affirmed what she believes is God’s calling on her life.
She explained that shortly after the prayers began, a young student approached her requesting prayers.
The girl, encouraged by her friends, reportedly shared that she had been repeatedly seeing bats around her, which she believed signified a disturbing spiritual experience.
Dikeh said she and her team prayed for the student, after which they believed the situation was spiritually resolved.
She added that the girl had earlier participated in the outreach and was among the students who committed their lives to Christianity during the event.
The actress also expressed gratitude to her spiritual mentors, Jerry Eze and Eno Jerry, whom she credited for supporting and guiding her spiritual growth.
According to Dikeh, the outreach recorded a significant response from students, with more than 100 of them reportedly giving their lives to Christ during the programme.
She described the experience as part of what she believes is the beginning of a deeper ministry journey focused on faith, evangelism and youth outreach.
