A fire outbreak in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, destroyed properties worth millions of naira at a residential building in the Ile-Gbogi, Papa area of Surulere.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, said the blaze affected one of six rooms in the private building.
According to Akinwande, fire service officials responded promptly and successfully contained the fire before it spread further. Thankfully, no lives were lost and no injuries were recorded.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
