American rapper Offset is in stable condition after being shot outside a casino in Florida on Monday.

According to reports, the rapper whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was injured in a shooting incident at the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

A spokesperson for the artist confirmed that he is currently receiving treatment in hospital and is being closely monitored.

The Associated Press reported that authorities said the injuries sustained were not life-threatening. While officials did not publicly identify the victim, police confirmed that two individuals had been detained in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing.

In a statement, law enforcement authorities assured the public that the situation had been contained.

“The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,” the statement read.

Offset rose to fame as a member of the hip-hop trio Migos. The group suffered a tragic loss in 2022 when member Takeoff was shot and killed outside a bowling alley in Houston.

Offset was previously married to Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B. The couple, who secretly wed in September 2017, share three children but ended their relationship in 2024 following Cardi B’s divorce filing.
