The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has expressed profound grief over the tragic helicopter crash in Ghana that claimed the lives of key government officials, including the Minister of Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.
In an official statement, the leadership and staff of ECOWAS conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government, and the people of the Republic of Ghana.
“It is with deep sorrow that we received the devastating news of the helicopter crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families, the Ghanaian government, and the entire nation during this time of profound loss,” the statement read.
