The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has extended warm felicitations to His Excellency Kacou Houadja Léon Adom, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora of Côte d’Ivoire, on the occasion of the country’s Independence Anniversary.

In a statement issued by Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tuggar described the moment as a celebration of the Ivorian people’s enduring unity, resilience, and progress. He noted that the day also marks a shared legacy of regional cooperation and solidarity between Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire.

“Nigeria joins the Government and people of Côte d’Ivoire in commemorating this significant milestone, which not only highlights national achievements but also reaffirms the deep-rooted friendship between our two nations,” the statement read.

The minister further emphasized Nigeria’s appreciation for the longstanding diplomatic relations and meaningful collaboration between both countries, particularly in their mutual pursuit of peace, regional integration, and economic advancement across West Africa.

The Minister concluded its message saying, Nigeria wishes Côte d’Ivoire continued peace, unity, and prosperity, while pledging to strengthen bilateral ties and maintain unwavering support in the years to come.
