Nollywood actors and actresses has gathered for a special Service of Songs and prayer session in honour of their late colleague and film producer, Allwell Ademola.

The emotional event, which has been trending across social media platforms, featured several prominent figures in the Nigerian film industry who came together to celebrate Ademola’s life and legacy.

In videos circulating online, actors Afeez Abiodun, Rotimi Salami, and Kunle Afod were seen participating in what was described as a “wrap prayer” session for the deceased.

One of Ademola’s closest friends in the industry, Rotimi Salami, delivered a heartfelt tribute, urging forgiveness and unity among colleagues.

“If there’s anyone Allwell has offended, directly or indirectly, please, forgive her and keep praying for her,” Salami said, struggling to hold back tears.

He also called on Nollywood practitioners to preserve her contributions to the industry.

“I think the only thing we can actually do is to find a way in unity to keep her legacy. Even if she’s gone, let all that she has done stay with us and be with us,” he added.

The Service of Songs was well attended by notable Nollywood stars, including Odunlade Adekola, Saheed Balogun, Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), Abiola Adebayo, Iyabo Ojo, Fausat Balogun, Eniola Ajao, and Fathia Balogun.

Many of the attendees wore customised white T-shirts bearing Ademola’s portrait as a mark of respect and remembrance.

According to the burial arrangements released by her family, the Service of Songs will be followed by preparations for a candlelight procession, after which an Artistes’ Night will take place. Closing remarks are expected at the end of the programme.

The late producer will be laid to rest at the Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos State.
