U.S. Congressman Riley Moore has cautioned against underestimating President Donald Trump’s determination, emphasizing that the President is “very serious about this.”
Speaking during a media interview in Washington, D.C., Moore highlighted the importance of U.S. intervention in Nigeria, describing it as an opportunity for Nigeria to strengthen its partnership with the United States.
“The United States wants to work closely with Nigeria to counter the terrorist threat spreading across the country,” Moore said. “I’m urging Nigeria to do the right thing—partner with the United States, help us protect Christians in your country, and we will stand with you.”
Moore, who represents West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District and serves on the House Appropriations Committee, has been an outspoken advocate for religious freedom and international human rights.
His remarks come amid rising concerns over violence against Christians in Nigeria and calls for stronger cooperation between Washington and Abuja to combat terrorism and safeguard religious communities.
