The academic staff Union of Universities ASUU has extended it’s rollover strike by another 12weeks to enable the Federal Government address issues in concrete terms.
Mr Emmanuel Osodeke, the ASUU president confirmed the extension of the strike to the news men on Monday in Abuja.
He said that the extension was due to the federal Government failure to implement the agreement entered with the Union.
The strike which as started since Fed.14 till date has affected a lot of student at home but hoping for the strike to end soon .
He accused the minister of labour and employment for stopping ASUU members salaries but approved payment for others union in the university who are not on strike.
He also said that ASUU is extending it action because government has refused to address it’s issues.
