Sunday, November 9, marks 19 remarkable years of Comrade Sandra Chukwugekwu’s impactful journey as a journalist and dedicated staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
In a statement, Comrade Chukwugekwu narrates how she has established herself as a respected voice in Nigerian broadcasting, moving seamlessly through various beats, from news reporting and commentary writing to covering youth affairs, NGOs, civil society organizations, and aviation.
According to the statement, her current work in diplomatic reporting reflects her steady rise as one of FRCN’s versatile and seasoned professionals.
It also states that her career has been defined by versatility, leadership, and service. Within FRCN, she has made her mark as Publicity Secretary of the FRCN Cooperative Society and served the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)—first as Chairperson of the FRCN Chapel and currently as Treasurer of the NUJ FCT Council.
Beyond her work in broadcasting, Chukwugekwu is the founder of TOSCAD NEWS, an online news platform committed to truth, integrity, and public enlightenment.
