Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has picked a former Governor of Borno State and serving Senator, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate.
A statement by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, says Asiwaju conferred with President Buhari in Daura before making the announcement.
Asiwaju told newsmen that his choice was based on the competence of the candidate.
