President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Mohammed Aminu as the new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
Aminu, who holds a Ph.D. in Automobile Technology and a Master’s in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, brings 28 years of experience in teaching, administration, research, and policy development. Before his appointment, he was the Director of Procurement at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
Tinubu urged Aminu to implement transformational leadership at NABTEB, ensuring the agency continues to assess and certify skilled human resources critical for Nigeria’s industrial development.
In addition, the president appointed Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe as Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Board. Mr. Rasaq Olajuwon was named Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical), while Tunde Ajibulu will serve as Deputy Executive Secretary (Services).
Olorunnimbe, founder and Group CEO of The Temple Company, has a track record in innovative leadership, youth empowerment, and education. Olajuwon, before his new role, served as Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency.
President Tinubu tasked the new UBEC leadership with strengthening Nigeria’s human capital, driving educational reforms, and improving access to quality basic education across the country.
