Noni Madueke has issued a bold warning to Arsenal’s Champions League and Premier League rivals after delivering a standout performance in the Gunners’ 3–0 win over Club Brugge, a result that sealed their perfect European group-stage record.
The 21-year-old stole the spotlight with a brilliant brace, becoming the first Arsenal player ever to score his first three Champions League goals in the competition.
His opener was a moment of individual brilliance: collecting the ball on the right, he powered past two defenders before smashing a thunderous strike off the underside of the crossbar. His second was a poacher’s finish, steering home a close-range header from a precise Martin Zubimendi cross.
Gabriel Martinelli capped off the dominant display minutes later, bursting forward after a ricochet and curling a superb effort into the far corner to seal Arsenal’s sixth win in six European outings.
The victory leaves Mikel Arteta’s side top of the league-phase standings. According to Opta’s supercomputer, Arsenal now hold a 95.2% chance of finishing first and a 23.3% probability of winning the Champions League, more than any other team.
Brugge rarely threatened as Arsenal controlled the game throughout, underlining their credentials as genuine contenders on all fronts.
“We’re fighting on all fronts,” Madueke told TNT Sports. “I feel like we can win this competition and win the league—that has to be the aim.”
He praised the squad’s togetherness, echoing Arteta’s key theme of unity. “We’re tight. We all want each other to do well. It’s about the collective—everyone has a part to play.”
Reflecting on his development, Madueke added: “The minimum I owe the team is threat—being decisive as consistently as possible. I’m getting there. Last Champions League game I scored, so it’s nice to get another two. Hopefully I can take that form into the league.”
