Ghana has deported three Israeli nationals in response to reports that Ghanaian citizens were unfairly treated at the Tel Aviv Airport.

In a statement issued on December 10, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the decision underscores Ghana’s responsibility to protect the dignity and rights of its people while maintaining respectful diplomatic relations.

The Ministry emphasized that Ghana cherishes its ties with all friendly nations but expects its citizens to be treated with the same respect and humane standards extended to foreign nationals within Ghana.

It added that the government remains committed to taking every necessary measure to safeguard the welfare of Ghanaians living abroad or traveling internationally.
