The Family of Timi Preye Fresh from Burutu local government area of Delta State has called on relevant authorities in Lagos to fish out the BRT driver who killed their 19 year old daughter Elizabeth Fresh at Airport junction and ran away .

The head of the family Corporal Timi Preye Fresh made this known in Lagos after depositing the younger sister Elizabeth in the morgue at Air Force base Lagos.

Corporal Fresh while narrating the incident amidst tears said ,he got conflicting calls on the said day by 11 am to come to Nigerian Air Force hospital, and another to airport road junction, but later went to the hospital only to meet the dead body of his younger sister in the ambulance.

Meanwhile the boss of the deceased who runs a restaurant at the Airport Mrs.Eniola Esho in tears said she sent her on that faithful day to Arena to get vegetable, stock fish and other necessary items.

But after waiting for sometime, put a call to her and realised it was a male that picked with the narration that the phone was forgotten in the bus and was asked to come to the airport that was when she realised it was the lastma on duty who removed her sim to get a contact since the deceased phone was smashed by the BRT.

Mrs Esho noted that when she got there, she saw someone on the floor covered in her blood .

After an enquiry from a Vulcanizer nearby where the incident happened she was told Elizabeth was crossing the road, when the BRT hit her, dragged her to a point despite the shouts of people the driver didn’t stop which could have changed the situation.

A Vulcanizer and some eye witnesses condemned the action of the driver.

They said the driver was on top speed despite the fact that he knows people don’t use the bridge for fear of being attacked by area boys who stays on the bridge all day.

They asked the government to look into the case as this was not the first time BRT drivers will kill someone, and when it happens ,the taskforce would be deployed to escort the driver instead of arresting him which has not helped the situation.

A call was put across to the director Press and public Affairs Taskforce Mr Gbadeyan Abdulraheem to confirm the allegations.

The Air officer commanding the Logistic command, AVM Abubakar Suleh detailed the Air provost department to look into the case as the brother to the deceased is a personnel.

As at the time of filing this report ,efforts to get the bus service specialist of Lamata Dr Oluwakemi Amure to speak to proved abortive .

As family members and some members of the Nigerian Air force who visited LAMATA claimed that Dr Amore promised visiting the family in three days time, as they would have fished out the driver.
