The National Youth Assembly Of Nigeria, NYAN wants President Bola Tinubu to integrate the SDGs Into the national agenda.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Comrade Usman Shagari made the call while addressing newsmen during the Democracy day celebration Themed “Youth in Democratic Governance” held in Abuja.

Comrade Shagari said that young individuals engage in negative activities such as insecurity, electoral violence, and economic disruption.

Comrade Shagari urged the government to design youth empowerment programs, provide accessible education, create employment opportunities, increase religious tolerance and involve young Nigerians in governance.

He also congratulate the 10th National Assembly and call for the use of democracy as a guiding compass within the Nigeria National Assembly.

According to Comrade Shagari Eradicating poverty will uplift the lives of millions of Nigerians, while an inclusive economy will provide equal opportunities for all.

He added that investing in education will equip the young with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive future growth and promoting gender equality.

Comrade Shagari urged President Bola Tinubu to recognize the importance of aligning the Nigerian government with the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).
