TikTok sensation Peller has publicly lamented over an alleged ₦36 million tax demand from the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service.

Speaking during a recent livestream with Afrobeats star, Peruzzi, Peller described the bill as excessive and added that he does not have the funds as he was struggling to make ends meet.

“Taskforce said I should pay ₦36 million for tax. I don’t have anything. I just came into the limelight last year,” he argued.

However, Peruzzi advised Peller to settle the bill, as it was the civic duty of all Nigerians to pay taxes.

Peruzzi revealed that his own tax payments exceeded the amount billed to Peller and urged the TikToker to settle the bill to avoid legal trouble.

However, Peller maintained that the government had never supported him financially despite his contributions to entertainment and further alleged that the tax was triggered after he flaunted his assets and disclosed his TikTok earnings.

The TikToker also noted that his income came solely from social media, not from within Nigeria.

Peruzzi encouraged him to request an extension from tax authorities, but Peller remained adamant about the bill being “outrageous.”
