Nigeria’s Super Eagles have booked their place in the final stage of the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after an impressive 4–1 victory over Gabon in the semi-finals.

The dominant win saw Nigeria display attacking brilliance and tactical discipline, securing a well-deserved spot in the final round of the continental play-offs.

With this result, the Super Eagles will now face either DR Congo or Cameroon in the final match scheduled for Sunday, November 16, 2025.

The winner of that encounter will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs in March 2026, where they will compete for a coveted ticket to the World Cup finals in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Nigeria remains determined to make a strong return to the global stage, continuing their quest for World Cup glory and reaffirming their status as one of Africa’s football powerhouses.
