Abuja, Dec. 12, 2025 (NAN) The MIDAS Touch Political Grassroot Mobilisation Movement, has commended Kaduna State’s improved security and growing stability, saying that the efforts demonstrated Gov. Uba Sani’s dedication to security reforms.
Alhaji Abdulwaheed Yunus, National Coordinator of the movement, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abuja.
Yunus described the state’s improved security as an evidence of effective commitment and strong community engagement.
According to him, the progress reflects the Governor’s commitment to restoring peace and security in the state.
Yunusa said, “This is a major achievement under Gov. Sani.
“The governor’s intervention quickly addressed insecurity that once affected several communities.
“Previously, there were some communities known for severe attacks and kidnappings, today, those areas had experienced significant improvement.$
Yunus said that the state had transformed from a high-risk area into one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states, adding that movement across the state was now safe both day and night.
He said that the governor had received several awards as the most supportive state for restoring security.
According to him, recently, the Nigerian Commodity Leadership and Exporters Recognition Awards (NCLERA) awarded the governor for the most supportive and effective on business and security challenge.
The national coordinator urged other authorities to emulate the governors’ efforts in restoring peace and stability in their states.
Dr Abdullateef Hafees, Assistant, National Coordinator of the movement said that the award presented to the governor for supporting business and strengthening security was well deserved.
Hafees said that the administration prioritised peaceful coexistence and strengthened trust between residents and security agencies.
He said the governor’s approach involved understanding local challenges and engaging community leaders directly.
He added that continued dialogue with communities and security agencies had helped identifying the cause of insecurity and enabled workable solutions.
“The state’s progress shows that insecurity can be addressed through collaboration and commitment.
“Before now, people feared travelling, due to kidnapping and robbery, but today, Kaduna is peaceful.
Residents now do their business without fear of losing money or facing attacks.
“That is why the governor merited the award,” he said.
Hafees urged other governors to emulate Kaduna’s model of empowering security personnel with modern equipment.
He added that the authorities should also improve welfare and operational tools of the security agencies, as such would help them respond effectively to any form of threats.
He, however, urged the residents to support the government through prayers, cooperation and law-abiding behaviour.
According to him, mutual support would help the administration serve the citizens better and maintain the peace already achieved. (NAN)www.nannews.ng)
