Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate Queen Mercy Atang has publicly called out her ex-boyfriend after he resurfaced with a Valentine’s Day love confession — two years after allegedly leading a campaign to tarnish her image during her marriage in 2024.

The drama unfolded on social media when the unidentified ex sent an emotional message professing his enduring love.

“Hey baby, I know we’ve had our own share of fights and quarrels, but I want you to know I am not your enemy, never was and never will. I don’t want to start talking about who’s right or wrong because it doesn’t matter. Never forget I got you. And after all this time? You’re still the one I love. Happy Valentine’s.”

However, Queen Mercy did not take the message lightly. In a fiery response shared publicly, she accused him of hypocrisy and reminded followers of the ordeal she endured when she got married in 2024.

Addressing him directly, she wrote: “Dear Ex, I don’t know if I should say ‘may thunder fire you’ or ‘may God forgive you.’ Remember 2024 when I got married? Remember the lies you spread about me on WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Instagram? Recruiting your friends, even people I’ve never met, just to drag my name.”

According to the reality star, the ex allegedly mobilized friends and associates to post negative claims about her across social platforms.

She claimed she was forced to reach out to his boss and even his brother — who is reportedly close to her family — in a bid to make the attacks stop.

“I cried and cried,” she revealed, adding that she chose to “leave him for God to judge” at the time.

Now in 2026, she says, the same ex is attempting to reconnect — reportedly contacting her sister to ask for her details and seeking an apology.

Queen Mercy questioned his motives, suggesting that her current marital status may have triggered his renewed interest.

“You love who? Me? As how? Or because I’m no longer married, you think I’m desperate for love? Love is no longer in my dictionary. I’m no longer the mumu lover girl I used to be.”

She clarified that their relationship dates back to 2013 during their time at UNIZIK and insisted that once a relationship ends for her, it stays in the past.

“Once you’re my ex, you remain my ex for life. I don’t play those stupid games.”

The reality star also explained why she chose to make the matter public, stating that when the alleged smear campaign occurred in 2024, it was done openly across social media platforms.

“Posting this here because when he and his friends mocked and said things about me when I got married, they all did it in public,” she wrote, noting that friends had sent her screenshots of the posts at the time.

The post has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans praising her for standing her ground and refusing to revisit a painful chapter of her past.
