The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC says no Corps Member has been shot in Jos Secretariat in Plateau State.
In a statement, the Director Press and Public Relations, Mr. Eddy Megwa explains the story making the rounds on the social media, is fake and only intends to instill fears in the minds of Corps Members, their parents and loved ones.
According to the originators of the news, two Corps Members were shot dead at NYSC Secreteriat, Jos, and other falsehoods, however, the management of the scheme restates that nothing of such ever happened.
It’s states that the fabricators of the story are are out to cause mischief.
Accordingly, the public, especially Corps Members have been advised to disregard the fake news.
It emphasizes that the welfare of Corps Members shall continue to be accorded top priority by the National Youth Sevice Corps.
