President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima have extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in London, following their arrival in the United Kingdom.
As part of the visit, Vice President Shettima also visited the late President’s nephew, Malam Amman Daura, who is currently receiving treatment at a London hospital.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President. The statement revealed that the visits were conducted as arrangements continue for the repatriation of former President Buhari’s remains to Nigeria.
Accompanying the Vice President during the visit were key government officials, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia.
