In a deeply emotional and lengthy public disclosure, Max Obae ,former partner of Paystack co-founder, Ezra Olubi has come forward with explosive allegations detailing m@nipulation, ab¥sive behaviour, and dist¥rbing misconduct during and before their relationship.
In an emotional and extensive public revelation, Max Obae, the former partner of Paystack co-founder Ezra Olubi, has come out with serious allegations of manipulation, abusive behavior, and disturbing misconduct, that occurred both during and before their relationship.
Speaking during a live audio broadcast, Obae said she felt compelled to share her experience after confronting what she called “the depth of the depravity” surrounding Olubi.
She emphasized that she did not view herself as a victim, but believed the public deserved transparency.
Obae explained that she initially approached Olubi in September 2023 with the intention of forming a polyamorous relationship involving herself and her wife.
She acknowledged that part of her motivation at the time was financial, as she hoped to leave corporate America.
According to her account, the relationship began virtually and became physical in December 2023 during her first in-person visit.
During that visit, she said she met a junior employee whom Olubi was allegedly sexually involved with. Although the subordinate described the relationship as consensual, Obae said she now regrets not questioning the situation more deeply, adding that she believed the dynamics were far more complex and that additional individuals may have been involved.
Obae further alleged that she observed troubling patterns in Olubi’s behavior, claiming he displayed controlling tendencies, emotional detachment, and mistreatment of domestic workers. She described his conduct as manipulative, demeaning, and “psychotic.”
She said the relationship officially ended in June 2024 following months of conflict. However, she added that revelations involving her sister’s marriage ultimately pushed her to speak publicly.
Becoming emotional at several points, Obae said she now feels she “brought a monster” into her marriage and believes Olubi’s alleged behavior was harmful not only to her but to others connected to him.
