Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has publicly expressed gratitude to her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, for giving her a child, while responding to critics who accused her of “doing too much” by praising him.

In a post shared on her social media page, Dikeh described Churchill as “the only man who has put a child in me,” thanking him for the role he played in making her a mother.

“The only man who has put a child in me. Doing too much? For the only man who has put a child in me?” she wrote.

The actress also addressed critics who questioned her public appreciation of her former husband, saying she does not allow public opinion to dictate her actions.

“The world is truly a sick place and I’m grateful I don’t let your opinions direct me,” she added.

Dikeh further explained that her gesture reflects her belief in healthy co-parenting and gratitude, noting that some people may not understand the joy and peace that comes from maintaining a respectful relationship with a co-parent.

“How would you understand the meaning of joy and peace that makes no sense? How would you understand healthy co-parenting if I don’t show you?” she wrote.

Dikeh and Churchill share a son and have previously had a highly publicized separation. However, the actress’ latest remarks suggest a shift toward a more peaceful co-parenting relationship.
