Fashion entrepreneur and actress Temi Otedola and Nigerian singer Mr Eazi have opened up about the intense pressure, disagreements, and emotional back-and-forth they experienced while planning their destination weddings.
The couple revealed that organising three separate wedding ceremonies across three different countries within a span of just three months proved to be far more overwhelming than they anticipated.
“Three weddings in three months is insane,” they admitted, describing how exhausting the process became as each event followed closely on the heels of the other.
Temi explained that their initial plan was to keep things simple with a quiet court wedding in Nigeria. However, concerns over privacy quickly made that option impractical.
“If we went to the courthouse in Nigeria, it wouldn’t be as private as we wanted,” she said.
An alternative idea was later proposed — hosting a private civil ceremony at home by inviting court officials into their living room. While Temi found the concept appealing, Mr Eazi was not entirely sold on it, leading to disagreements between the couple.
That difference of opinion sent them back to reconsider their plans.
Eventually, they agreed on Monaco as the location for their civil wedding, a decision Temi described as deeply sentimental. Although the United Kingdom was also considered, she admitted it lacked the personal connection she was looking for.
Beyond location challenges, Temi said she was surprised by the administrative demands of marriage.
“I honestly thought getting married was just about deciding and signing papers,” she said. “I didn’t realise there was such a huge amount of paperwork involved.”
The couple’s candid reflections have offered fans a rare glimpse into the realities of planning high-profile destination weddings, showing that even celebrity unions come with their fair share of stress and compromise.
