The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that 90% of the available slots for its optional mock examination have been filled nationwide, with only a few states still open for registration.
According to a statement from the Board, candidates can still secure mock exam slots in Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba, and Yobe. Prospective test-takers are urged to carefully select their examination towns, considering factors such as travel logistics and convenience to avoid difficulties on the exam day.
While candidates have the freedom to choose their preferred locations, JAMB cautioned against hasty selections that may lead to complaints about being assigned to distant towns. The Board reiterated that it does not arbitrarily assign examination locations but rather allocates available spaces based on candidates’ choices and the capacity of mock exam centers.
JAMB also observed unusual patterns in candidates’ town selections, emphasizing that once a center reaches full capacity, it will no longer be available for selection. The Board advised candidates to register promptly if they wish to participate in the mock exam in the remaining available states.
For updates and further details, candidates should visit the official JAMB website.
