Nigerian lawyer Chukwudi Iwuchukwu has publicly criticized nightlife entrepreneur Obi Cubana over alleged claims that he relocated his family abroad while continuing to support President Bola Tinubu.

In a Facebook post, Iwuchukwu alleged that Cubana moved his family to the United Kingdom about three years ago due to concerns about Nigeria’s future.

He also made similar claims about businessman, Cubana Chiefpriest, suggesting that both figures maintain political support for the current administration while keeping their families outside the country.

The comments follow recent public declarations of support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Both businessmen have also been linked to the “City Boy Movement,” a pro-Tinubu political group that has gained visibility online and within political circles.

Iwuchukwu further alleged that Cubana continues to operate businesses in Nigeria while transferring funds overseas, describing the country as “irredeemable.” He claimed that Chiefpriest has engaged in similar actions.

While acknowledging that every Nigerian has the constitutional right to support a political candidate of their choice, the lawyer questioned the sincerity of their endorsements.

He urged young Nigerians to respond by boycotting businesses associated with the two socialites, encouraging them to “vote with their wallet” as a form of civic protest.
